Hello! My name is Mike as you might have guessed. I am a retired truck driver of 38 years in the USA. Boo-Koo years ago I enjoyed programming in Commodore Basic and MS-Dos.. Times do definitely change. I want to become proficient with Access and I am gradually learning VBA. :banghead:

I love a good challenge and I'm of the mind-set "If you think the computer should then it can!"
I will try not to irritate people with my ignorance so please be patient. I am looking forward to being part of this "Access" world.

OK by me, OldManMike. Always glad to have folks aboard - and I actually DO remember the days of MS-DOS. Never went with Commodore BASIC because in that era, I was on mainframes for which BASIC was available for large-memory systems.

Thank's for the welcome. Doc Man I just wish I'd kept up instead of trying to catch up... WHEW!

welcome Mike!

Don't think yourself old just because you were using a commodore. There are those of us here that remember when pre-heaters came out for 9-tracks.

Hate to be so long getting back on board here but most of my questions have been answered by a lot of you while I was searching for my solution. It might be late but "Thank You!!!"
Now how do I ask a question on the forum; "Post a thread"?

Welcome to AWF Mike.
Better late than never....

I'm a little like Doc --- oversaw purchases of TRS80 and Commodore, but I was on various PDP and Mainframe/service bureau hardware.

Lots of info in the FAQ at top of page or
here.

Actually, jdraw, I was a PDP specialist. In fact, my dissertation research used a PDP-11/15 (11/15=lab configuration) with a paper-tape O/S. (By the time we bought all the special lab gear we couldn't afford a disk.) I used a PDP-10 to do the plotter stuff. I even became a VAX specialist for the next 40 years. When I retired, I held an OpenVMS Sys Admin certification for VMS 8.4 - the only person at our Navy site to hold that particular cert.

OldManMike, I was beaucoup glad to welcome you.
