Access novice here. I’m trying to make a simple format change to the font color of a field for certain records upon opening a report. All I’ve been able to do so far is make the change across all records. I have a report that shows the priority, stage, and task fields for each record. If a record has the priority field set to yes, then I want to change the stage field to red. It’s important that this shows up on the screen in report view. I’m less concerned about print view. Thanks!

Have you played with Conditional Formatting on the ribbon?

Use conditional formatting
Open the report in design view.
Select the priority field then click conditional formatting in the format ribbon
Click new rule, then when value ="yes" and enter the format you want.

The format will apply in both report view and print preview
