Good afternoon AWF,

I came across some nifty ( sorry Tony :) ) bit of code in the Sample Databases forum that ChrisO has posted.

It wouldn't work on my machine at home because I have AC365/64 bit installed.

So I set about trying to convert it, something I can only copy from google, and as you can guess, it does not work. It complies fine, even though the VB6 bit is in red, but when I click on the Update button on the frmShowRecords Form, Access closes and reopens a backup version of the DB.

Any suggestions?

It is...not sure if it performs any better than the other methods I have used but it does offer a more dynamic utility to any application.

Thanks again for sorting it out...

ChrisO did some really neat things, I hadn't seen this one. He was way over my head; I'm honored he asked me to host some of his files.

I have read some of his posts after I found this and I agree, he was phenomenal.
