Memo field in report displays special characters

I have two memo fields in my report. When the report is previewed, they show up with a special character similar to below. The query that the report is based on displays fine. When the query is ran from the control source of the report the special characters are also displayed there.

#Ć#ć#
Ĉ#ċ؉ؖ#ؚ#؛

Any ideas?

I recreated the query feeding the report and it worked fine....I guess I had a corrupt query.
