Hello
I'd like to thank you all for responding to my post.:D

Sure, that makes a lot of sense.
(The thought behind my question was if I had an existing Access database, would it be practical to convert to SQL...
Steve
Thanks for the prompt response.:)
I think I'll stick with it for the moment as in the past I relied too much on macros and as he implies in the introduction the power lies in VBA.
:D
:o
Is it a good idea to create a database in MSAccess and then convert to an SQL version?
Now that I've been looking about at Database Development in general, I find myself overwhelmed by the options available and wonder now what is the best platform to learn?
Anyway, if anyone might be kind...
I came across an interesting tutorial Programming In VBA For Access 2013.
I'd be interested to here if anyone might share some opinions on it.

Oh, I just found a post by ChrisO regarding "Pointers"
Below - In My Own Words - Please Correct If Wrong !
A Pointer is a piece of VBA code containing a value (pointer) in memory that addresses an object.
Thanks

AutoNumber -I just see it as a unique record reference number.
I'd find it difficult to think of it in any other way.

Can you define "Pointer" for me?
Is that just a shortcut?

I always just thought of an automatically generated Incremental or Random AutoNumber as a unique Static Reference for each record, nothing else.

I never implied there was One book!
I was merely seeking an up to date list of what you might recommend covers the essential topics you mentioned, well.
Building Microsoft® Access Applications by John Viescas.
Would you consider this book out of date?
On page...
Hello Doc_Man and JHB
Thanks for the responses.
I too have never had such an issue on any forum before.
I don't remember making any changes to my browser recently so thought I'd ask before investigating.
None of my posts here took that long. I was a bit surprised.
I googled and found the link...
Hello sneuberg
Thanks
It never entered my mind that you'd code the Enforcing.
Would you have an example of what the code looks like that might be used for Enforcing Referential Integrity?
:)
Hello
It seems that when creating table relationships one always selects;
"Enforce Referential Integrity"
Why doesn't Access just do it automatically when creating a relationship.
The lesser used option might then be "Disable Referential Integrity" when it's not needed.
That said, when...
Thank You Doc_Man
For the enlightenment !

Stuff Happens
For sure it does !
I couldn't even register without the need of "Error Handling"
"Acceesbility" was meant to be "Accessability"
