Greetings I am a Senior Software Engineer by trade. I have used many flavors of Visual Basic as well as many version of MS Access and MS Excel. As well as their more robust cousins MySQL and SQL Server. My style of coding when it comes to using VBA is to make it more like a normal Visual Studio product programmed in one the languages it supports. Thus I almost never use hard-binding. All my binding (if any) is done via code to unbound controls. While this requires a bit more effort up front it tends to alleviate many of the issues that many Access programmers encounter when using hard-binding. That and I can easily port the code to a different platform later on if things need to become more robust.
