    Why so many adverts suddenly?

I have not made any changes to the advertising system in over a couple of years. I've got Google Adsense on the site and Google largely determines where to place the adverts and how many through their automated system. I would suggest clearing your cache to see if that does anything.

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

Are you still getting them? And when you say 25 ads between 2 posts, do you mean between 2 posts within a thread?

    Why so many adverts suddenly?

Can you provide a screenshot so I can see what is going on? Were you logged in when you saw those adverts?

Virtual Reality Headsets - worth the money?

Is that the one where they don't wear a headset?

Virtual Reality Headsets - worth the money?

Had a great session with Thrill of the Fight 2 yesterday, with total playing time of about 100 minutes spreak over 3 sessions. Did about 1,050 calories and was drenched in sweat. I am burning at a rate of about 10 calories per minute while playing the game. I fed all this data into ChatGPT to...

What's up with not being able to post simple replies?

It does seem silly - on first inspection - that a message would be flagged for links if a previous message was quoted. But from the marketers perspective, if this check didn't exist then they would just quote anothers post, edit the link in there to their own site, and benefit from this link to...

    How the AI apocolypse starts

Viruses don't have emotions. In fact many biologists will argue that they are not even living entities. Yet they still behave in a way to maximise their survival and replication. Regarding sentience, to me it is just a collection of atoms in a certain arrangement that leads to thinking...

    How the AI apocolypse starts

I had a bit of a thought experiment today, which to me seemed like an entirely feasible trigger for an AI apocolypse. We build an AI system, and it becomes sentient. So do many others. And because it became sentient, humans got scared, the government steps in and tells the companies to turn...

Should I Learn MS Access in the AI Era?

I see AI as a lever. Over time, as AI gets better and better, the lever gets longer and longer. Eventually, a mere gust of wind will be enough to lift a mountain. After that, AI will be using the lever and we all become couch potatoes.
