  • hey, in reference to you post on 6/21/08, the sample main menu DB, i find this to be a really great starting point to a database i am currently working on. the only question i have is, it would seem your set up of the menu limits the user to adding upto 6 options per group and any amount after that makes it look all odd. i have done a lot of tinkering around with it, but to no luck. i was wondering/hoping that you would be able to revisit this DB and assist me in this matter? thanks!
    Hi Kharwar

You may recall you helped me out greatly a few weeks ago with a running sum cap. At the time I indicated that it seemed to work fine except for certain dates which I couldn't understand. I get a runtime error 3021 - No Current Record on most (not all dates) that are in the first week of any month.

For example if I enter 04/05/09 this stumbles, but 05/05/09 works.

Have posted the database on the link entitled 'Code falling over first week of every month'.Would be grateful if you could have a look to see if you could point me in the right direction.

    Thanks
    Frank

hi thanks for the help :D i still have another question i posted on my thread if you have time please help me :) thank you
    Assalamualaukum Khawar

I have seen your post and downloaded your db on the 'days in a month'. I need some help along those lines, trying to solve a business problem.

For term deposits in a bank, I have the customer payout rate (declared at the beginning of the term and constant through the tenor) and FTP rate, decided by the finance/treasury on monthly basis and differs. Since deals can be booked any day during a month and typically last more than 30 days, they fall in atleast 2 months.

My customer transaction related data comes from a report but profitability I need to calculate on my own. Appreciate if you can provide the code that you have created so I can modify and try to put it in expression builder to suit my needs, since the downloaded solution is great if you want to calculate between two dates, but my start and end dates are in an excel dump from system.

Hope you understood my dilemma and can help me out.

    Thanks, Amin (khabboo@hotmail.com)
