Is there anyway of forcing Caps Lock on when Access is lauched. I've used the 'Ucase' method both in After Update and in an update querie when forms are closed, but this seems a bit long winded.

you could use special key assignment to go straight to the telephone app.
I've only just started looking into these myself so I can't give you any sound advice but it works like the ^P shortcut for printing. you set up the key functions in a macro and call it Autokeys. Access checks this macro...
Wierd Innit. just a slightly different worded phrase can bring such different results!

From what I had read in this thread, I gather that Access is a perfectly capable db package (this I already knew), for providing a small number of network users a solid fe/be database. although it is necessary for all users to have the correct ver of access inst. on...
Correct me if I'm wrong but what you are attepting is:
Form 'A' open user inputting data blah blah
A certain condition is met and a second form pops (Form 'B') up asking for further info
The info on Form 'B' is required on form 'A' and you want to put it there as form 'B' is closed
in which...
