?? The OP is updating the Customer field every time the CodeNumber is within a Range of values. What does that mean...

What are the datatypes of tblFinal.CodeNumber, [tblList]![StartRange] and [tblList]![EndRange]?

Here is some code you can try:
It will create a table called data_dictionary and populate it with info from all of your tables. It will pick up descriptions where they exist.
Put these 2 procedures...
