Re: Selecting email from a table

Use a string variable to set this up before getting into the Outlook object. As Colin stated it will help with debugging as well.

For some reason once you are "inside" the olMailObject it seems to...

Re: Search bar and filter using combo box on a continuous form

Can I be brutally honest and say that this is a poor approach?

Normally people searching for things like a description, wouldn't be putting a price in, and if searching for a price wouldn't expect...

Re: Noobieissues

You sound as if you need a Unit "header table" and then at it's simplest an event / entity table, and an event type table.

So your tblUnkits would store the top level info the unit number,...

In the control source for txtSuppName simply put

Re: New Record Saved, before I've asked to save

By default Access saves a record as soon as you move off the form or to another record.
Programming your way around this is awkward, and mostly unnecessary .

The simplest way to prevent a...

Re: Update form with barcode in Ms Access

@Cronk, depends on if the BC reader is set to send an <enter> after a successful read. That's how ours are set up.

Makes for quick data entry. :)

Re: Update Query Lock Violation

Okay - got it... It's only the last record you updated that isn't saved.
Forcing the subform to save from the main form;

Me.MySubform.Form.Dirty = False.

The dirty property is set to true if...

Re: query based cbo doesn't allow choice

Have you linked your combo box query / source to the forms record source? That can make things read only.

Without seeing your form and the underlying set up or a lot more information we are...

Sounds like you want a "find as you type" combobox or textbox.

Something like this https://access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=273977 ?

Hmmm. I think I've read your tests correctly.

What if you juggle the null PO position or have nulls in all three...
Or don't have nulls anywhere....
Same issue?

Re: Get ID of created record overflow problem

I suspect you have used

Dim intNewID as Integer

and the value being returned is > 32,767

Use Dim intNewID as Long

To allow much bigger values to be used.

Re: Apply filter by text AND Date

A good hint for these is to build the filter as a string and examine it as a debug.

Dim sFilter as String

sFilter = "(USER = '...to be allocated')AND (AllDateTU <#AllocationDate#)"
