Re: error Unexpected error rom external database driver (1)

Never seen that error before.
Agree about testing each part separately.
If you prefer just paste each part separately into a query sql view.
If it works, use as part of a new union query.

No...

Re: other method than Dlookup vba form

Not sure how you've managed by bypass the 754 controls limit. See Access specifications (https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Access-specifications-0cf3c66f-9cf2-4e32-9568-98c1025bb47c)

Re: Date Format Issue

I can see it works but its a very odd thing to do!
FWIW, it also works without the quotes though your example of 2020-2 is of course treated as 2018 => 10 July 1905

Re: Hello, good evening, how are you?

Hi Shane
See attached screenshot
The feature works on 1 PC with 1803 but not on 3 others with the same build.
It worked on all PCs when I had v1709.
Currently none of my PCs have 1809. I did try...

Re: Change text in error message

Select Case is another way of handling conditions.
Similar to If...Else...End If ... but often easier to read and more efficient to execute

So in your code, if the error is 3314, your error...

LOL - the idea was just to show you that the same date can be displayed in many different ways.

I'm going to expand on CJL's answer & hopefully it will all make sense to you.

Re: How to populate a text box and field based on combo box value?

I'm also a little confused ....but if the record doesn't exist, you would instead use an append query to create the record including the hourly rate value (selected from the combo????)

Re: other method than Dlookup vba form

Agree with Ranman

But do you actually mean 800 records?
The maximum number of controls allowed on a form is 754!

Re: How to populate a text box and field based on combo box value?

You don't need to populate that field in tblBudgetStaff. In fact that field is redundant as you...
