Re: Help me pick myself up and move forward?

I tried the Upwork site for a while and became discouraged. There is just too much competition, especially for someone with no credentials and no professional background in programming and db design....

Re: Column/List Width

I used 5000 for ListWidth. This is TWIPS measure. What did you use?

Re: Column/List Width

I tested code setting ColumnCount, ColumnWidths, ListWidth and it works.

Re: Split form record selectors

@Micron, a subform on split form is possible and the +/- will display in datasheet section, exactly as shown in the image.

Re: Split form record selectors

I am not getting the + because there is no subform on split form.

If you don't want users to see subform then why have one? You want them to edit subform only from single record section? I don't...

Re: Query not accepting Form Value (multi Select List)

Don't use parameters in query. Don't open query. Apply filter to form or report. Review http://allenbrowne.com/ser-50.html

Re: VBA Case Statement selecting the wrong block

As I said, those variables cannot be Null, they always have a value even if it is an empty string. An empty string is not same as Null. Variables declared as string will default to empty string and...

Re: VBA Case Statement selecting the wrong block

And what do you see as content of variables? Why doesn't code do what you expect?

Part of issue is probably using IsNull to test content of variables. Variables explicitly declared cannot be Null....

Re: VBA Case Statement selecting the wrong block

Please post lengthy code between code tags to retain indentation and readability.

Have you step debugged?

Re: Count Invoices

If you want report to list detail records as well as summary calcs, set report to group on fldClient and use Count() aggregate function in group header or footer section.

Re: Variables

1 & Null will return 1

That would be Case 1 in the Select Case

But Null & 1 would be the same so maybe this won't be correct way to go.

Re: Variables

Apparently it compiles if getting subscript out of range error. However, array is declared but not populated nor referenced properly.

How many combinations of choices will there be?

Can also do...

Re: Access Front End Auto Updating.

Cannot reproduce issue so have no idea how to fix.

If you can browse to the folder with Windows Explorer then should be able to in Access.

Re: Nothing shows in text box

What? Why do you need to specify a record in order to bind controls to fields?

What do you mean by "It's already at that record" - where?

Bind controls then apply filter to form or report if...

Re: Browse to file location issues

That reasoning doesn't really mean anything to me. It's your db, so if you understand why you are saving those various paths, then go ahead.

As for saving and opening links: Adding a link into...

Re: Nothing shows in text box

Are you building a custom class? I have never seen a procedure like that.

Why are you using code to populate textboxes with data from fields? Why not bind controls to fields?

Re: Access Front End Auto Updating.

Never had a problem linking tables. However, I use VBA to reset table links so I can use UNC path.

Re: Browse to file location issues

I have never been able to get file drag and drop to work within Access. Good luck.

If you want to allow Out_Path field to be edited then why does code only allow when it is Null?

Did you try...

FileCopy is referencing field Out_Path but if...

Re: how to reduce the code lines

That starts to get complicated because now the second AND operator is dependent on content of more than 1 control. But I just remembered a simpler syntax.

"[fgk] LIKE " & Nz(.Text25, "'*'") & "...

Re: Odd and Differing Behaviour in Query on SQL data stores

Re: Why doesn't the label stay on your Form

Maybe. If you want to display multiple instances of same report in PrintPreview, review https://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=318516
