Re: Combobox returning loaded value rather than selected value

Okay, if it was me, I would delete that table and adjust everything that uses it. See attached...

Re: Combobox returning loaded value rather than selected value

Okay, that's what I thought but couldn't test it earlier. The reason for that is you're using a bound form to select the event. What is the purpose of the Event Focus table? Will it ever have more...

Re: Combobox returning loaded value rather than selected value

Hi. Please try out the suggestion first to confirm what I thought I saw in your setup. If the result is the same, then you have a couple of ways to go, so we can discuss your options.

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Hi. Glad to hear that. Please remember, it was to be a temporary fix; although, I don't see any major side effects if you left it there permanently. But as soon as the actual fix from MS comes out,...

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Hi. I guess when I created the utility, I didn't think it would be used to fix MDB files. Just as a test, try typing the path to the MDB file in the textbox instead of browsing for it. Make sure you...

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Ah, sorry for the confusion. You were supposed to apply the fix on the FE and not the BE. You can rerun the utility against the BE to unfix it and then run it against the FE.

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Hi. Just curious if you tried the utility I linked to earlier. If not, just curious what your reasons might be.

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Hi. If you tried to attach an image, try zipping it up first. Also, did you try the utility I mentioned?

Re: SQL BE with MS Access FE - Speed up searches

Hi Phil. I have no idea. Maybe you're right. I don't have any reference to see what it does.

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Hi. Did you try clicking on the "Add Else" link?

Re: Report crushes on open

Well, at least, I think, you're getting closer to figuring out where the problem is coming from, right? Keep digging and good luck!

Re: Form - Increments a counter by Year

Hi. Welcome to AWF!

"No longer works" means what exactly? Were you getting a 3340 error? If so, try the workaround utility I posted earlier...

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Well, normally, you wouldn't check the same value twice. Instead, you would just use an Else branch in your If/Then block.

Re: For disappears in Single Form view

By the way, we'll probably eventually run out of ideas unless we can see a sample copy of your db. You should be able to remove all sensitive information about it and simply replace them with dummy...

Re: For disappears in Single Form view

Ah, okay, that's three places on that could be stepping over each other.

The Data Entry = Yes setting is sending the form to the new record, and
The Open event macro is also sending the form...

Re: For disappears in Single Form view

Hi. The button's click event calls a macro. Can we see what's in that macro?

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Okay, if the above change I posted didn't work, then perhaps you could try using GoToControl instead of Sendkeys.

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Did you mean like this?
If [Forms]![Order Entry Form]![SERIAL NUMBERS.OrdNumber] Is Null Then
Sendkeys
Keystrokes ^'
Wait = Yes
Sendkeys
Keystrokes {tab}
wait = No
End if
If [Forms]![Order...

Re: Linking two backends together

Hi. The way you would normally do it is you would link the single FE to the separate BEs. Even if you link the first BE to second one and then link the FE to the first BE, including the linked...

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Hi. Just to be safe, can you please post the updated version of the macro with the extra Sendkeys to make sure it's placed where I was thinking it belongs? Thanks.

Re: Combobox returning loaded value rather than selected value

Hi Greg. Thanks for posting your db. You don't need the criteria in your query, but I left it there. Try taking it out to see if it makes a difference using the updated version I attached below....

Re: Fill down and auto tab to next field issues

Hi. Welcome to AWF! If that code used to work, I am not sure how. But for now, have you tried adding one more Sendkeys to send the {tab} key in the first part of the macro?
