sorry for not being clear. my report IS generating with all the information I want. What isn't trimming is my model & series (Excel being the model and TS being the series should trim to Excel-TS...it works in my report that only has one unit in it but doesn't work with the report that has two...

I have a query and so far it's working ok. I'm having some troubles with information showing up in the report and can't for the life of me figure out why but I'm working with it. My Trim$ isn't working. Works in my single unit report but not in my double unit report... Help??

***UPDATE*** I've done more searching in the forum and tried the sub-report thing...can't get THAT to work either!???

I want to ship two vehicles together and they need to go on the same report. How would I generate the report to do only 2 particular units?

I'm trying to create a 3 page report. I've pasted 2 images and used text boxes for my information which has given me my first two pages but it won't let me create a 3rd page!!?!?!?!?! What am I doing wrong? :confused:

I'm running a query that I want a grand total for as well as a group subtotal for the various groups within the results. I don't want a report as it is harder to filter etc for the person I am creating the query for. is there a way to get this result in datasheet view?:confused:

I have this parameter Between [Forms]![frmDATEPARAM]![STARTDATE] And [Forms]![frmDATEPARAM]![ENDDATE] after the dates are entered into the parameter form and the run button is pressed, it pops up the parameter entry boxes.:confused: What am I missing?

I have a combo box in a form that pulls from a table. I added two items (see attachment - I added the bottom two to the table) and when I select either of those I get an error. (see second attachment) This doesn't make sense to me.

Hi Dave, When I had that problem yesterday, I found that when I clicked on the date field in the table it was drawing from, it had the date AND time on there and therefore wouldn't pull up the information i wanted. I reentered the date in those fields and all worked fine.

SOLVED! when default value is set to =now() it puts the time in there as well so it won't show up in parameter filters. Once i took out the default value of now() and re-entered the dates so there was no time, it worked like it was supposed to.:p

The information is pulling from the same form (same table) and both days reports were pulled from the same parameter form using the date picker. Both the field in the form and the field in the parameter form are "short date". Both the main entry form and the parameter form use the date picker...

When the report generates using March 2 the reports (letter and labels) work. When I try to generate the reports for today, March 5, using the same parameter form, I get nothing. and yet there are 34 entries to print. Weird??? Please help.

I have a command button going to the parameter form to enter the parameters and then a command button to run the report from the parameter form. but i need just that one record and if I just run the report it will give me ALL the records.

sigh. i'm working on it. i'm working with a database that was incorrectly set up so we have to continue working in it until i get the new one set up. This is a really frustrating one. I will welcome any hints to look for. Thanks John.
