Microsoft Access: Edge Browser Control is finally here :)

I am still on 2310. I have tested your file and it seems to work ok. My file still has the same problems though. I will wait until I get the update and retest.

Thanks. I tested your file and also do not get any websites showing.

Interesting. The original problem showed in version 2306 and hadn't changed in the latest I am using (2310). I assume you are clicking on one of the other tabs and then back to tab 3 and it is still not showing anything (this shows the webpage for me).

No it is not about spaces in names. It is about webpages not staying shown when the control source is updated. I have reported on feedback portal and emailed you the link. There is also an update copy of the sample database there.

Hi Colin. Thanks for this - much appreciated. The problem is described in post 141 and a sample database is attached to post 142 (top of page 8).

I have just checked and couldn't see anything. I retested my test database and it still shows the same behavior. I have version 2310.

It sounds similar (but different) to my problem in post 141 and 142. Still haven't heard if this has been addressed.

I have two outstanding issues - see posts 119 and 142 for example files.

Thanks Joe. Attached is a database example. The tab to look at is the third one.

(Cross-posted in Access-D so that Shane Groff will see it as well) Attached is a simplified version of my html file. It just requires putting in a Google API key. The only line that seems to be the problem when run in the Edge Web Control is the call to Google Maps. It work ok when it is...

Tested your HTML in both a browser, and in Access. Both work. This suggests to me the problem is with how google handles the marker paths in the google.maps.Marker variable (or how the new Access Control processes it?)

I tried to send this reply but got this message (what was the problem?)

Which attached local HTML file were you referring to? The attachment was your Access database.

Microsoft Access: Edge Browser Control is finally here :)

My application stores locations of building sites and coordinates for trenches between sites. Users select which sites and trenches they want shown on the map, then a local html file is created that includes all the data, calculates the google map size to include all the selected sites, then...

It is a local file and I have added the prefix. I can open simple "hello World" html files ok but it seems to be something with Google Maps itself. I can share the file itself if this will help

Microsoft Access: Edge Browser Control is finally here :)

I have been using some code which creates a local file for mapping sites onto Google Maps. It has worked fine when the file is opened up directly in a browser. When I try to open the file in the new web browser control the web page doesn't appear. Does anyone have experience with this that I...
