    Pictures in Forms

Simon and PR2 Thanks very much for your time in trying to help me out. I have had a look at both examples you sent me an I think Simon's one would be better for us as it has the picture showing all the time. I will try and have a go at Simon's version... I appreciate your help. Thanks, Alex:)

    Pictures in Forms

Hi Paul Not very far I'm afraid! I've just popped into work this morning and deleted all the pictures from the database, so hopefully now it's lovely and small that will stop it corrupting at least. I have created a text box in the meantime so the data entry lady can manually write the file...

    Pictures in Forms

Thanks for your reply Simon. I'm using Access 2007. The images are .jpgs stored on the c drive. We are currently just writing the image name in a text box on the form, but ideally would like to have a link to the file so the picture shows. Do you think this is possible in 2007? Thanks Alex:)

Hi ya I feel daft about IMO, I assumed it was Access Terminology! I managed to open the link thanks, although it came up with a run time error 2220 (it can't open the png file). Would this example work for a system where every access record has a unique picture? Thanks for your help. I am...

    Just checking....

I've just split my database and expected the file size of the front end file to be small and the back end file to be large.... However the size of the files are approx 175,000 kb each. Does that mean I haven't split it correctly? Does a database need to be empty when you split it? I had about...

    2007 and 2010

Hi Mr. B Thanks for your reply. Yes, I will be splitting the database when it's finished and putting the front end on each machine. I just wanted to make sure the users with the 2010 version wouldn't cause problems with the database. Cheers, Alex

Hi I'm setting up a database for a watch repairing company. On the current system as each watch is booked in, it is given a number (currently at 47,500). It has been requested that when my new database goes live that I continue on with this number. It would make sense for the primary key in...

    Sharing an access database

Hello I've just created a database and want it to be used by other employees. I have read up how to do this and have split the database. The FE and BE are on the main server and I have put a front end copy on the C drive of the other computers. Now I'm stuck! When I open the file on the other...
