    It would be for transactional data - initially several hundred rows. But eventually, the application could extend to other 'mass data' which could easily be hundreds of thousands of rows. What is the limit on SharePoint rows?

    Thanks Isaac. To answer my own question , I think SharePoint is basically a web-page + file sever of sorts. It cannot house an instance of SQL Server.
