Before I start implementing this, I would like to know if it is possible to do in principle I want two fields, say TimeStarted and TimeEnded. I then want to subtract the two from one another to see how long the task took. Is this possible or would i be wasting my time trying it?

The only problem you will have if more than one user is editing data on the same record at the same time as you will get a write conflict. But users being in the same form is not a prob As for them all entering new records at the same time, not a problem either

If you want more than 255 char in a field, change to a memo field

Click on the field name of the one you want to change the format of in the columns underneath your table Click right mouse button, and go to properties Change format to currency or whatever
