I hope I'm in the right forum.
I created a database in Access 2003 with a number of customised drop down menus-easy. However, I had to convert it to Access 2007. If I click on 'Add Ins' it shows them no problem. Now I have had to modify the database and I need to add some stuff to the customised menus - and I hjave NO idea how to do it. I am frustrated and I hope some one can help please. :banghead:

From MS-Access version 2007, you have to build ribbons.
If you are able to convert your database back to version 2003, you can add the menus, but I think now or later you have to build ribbons.

Thanks for that JHB. I've already done that a few times, but I no longer have MSA 2003. I don't know how to build ribbons.

This site has made an application in Access to create ribbons at high speed. What pleased me most are the codes offered pre assembled.

for various reasons, i still tend to develop in A2003, and then convert to A2007.

many users still have A2003, and I also prefer the old style menu bars.

Alternatively, you could dump the drop-down Menu bars as much they are like and create a form Base Menu system. These will always migrate upwards.
