Hello everybody,

I would like to have my project free from unwanted interventions
from users, like modifying forms or modifing code,

so, I would like to hide the application wondow, but keeping the
taskbar always visible, like shown in the picture.

But how do I do that, if i maximise the window, the form
fills the entire screen!

I did find some interesting coding in sampledatabases,
but also there, when I maximise, the whole screen is filled,
with no taskbar.

( after 2 days and 2 evenings I ran out of options)

Hi isladogs and the rest :)

I did see, and tried, all that coding in all those sampledatabases.
This is great coding, and the startup form comes close to a startup-form
as I showed in the picture above.
The thing is, after pasting the vba code from the buttons (maximise and button taskbar),
that the startup form does maximise, but the
taskbar remains hidden!
( and after 2 days i gave up. )

----

The code: WIn64
Attached Files
File Type: accdb New Microsoft Access Database.accdb (588.0 KB, 80 views)

comes close!
BUT....(sorry) IF you use the restore button from windows, than the form
is restored, and, the applicationwindow is again visible.

The solution would be, to greyed-out (or to make unvisible) the standard
windows restore button.
In the older versions in access this was possible.

Ok, it getting late, I must goto bed, I get up pretty early,
but this is what I got sofar...
The minimise button does not work properly,
the application window sometimes comes visible.
Maybe there is somewhat possible with the properties of the window...

Hi
You're using code similar to mine but its not exactly the same.

I'm not clear what exactly you're trying to do.
Suggest you have another look at my example and use my module code instead.

Per the original post

Going through the song-and-dance of hiding everything seems like an overly complicated way to accomplish this. Wouldn't simply saving/distributing the file as an accde file be the simplest way?
