My name's Jem, and I'm a database developer ! There now, that's better that I've got that off my chest.
I've been developing primarily applications for over 30 years now, on any number of different platforms - most recently Clarion and Alpha 5 - and mostly for the desktop. As I'm retired and doing this for a hobby now, the costs in the previously mentioned platforms are just too high, and both have moved away rather, from the desktop as their concentration area.
Right now, I'm just getting to know Access 2016 as a potential developer (as opposed to a user / occasional fiddler). If all works out, my end goal is to be able to build databases that sit with my web / database hosting provider, with a Windows front end.
Should be a fun journey.
No doubt I'll be posting all sorts of questions as time passes ....
