I have been doing some searching on the upcoming release of Access 2010, with web apps in mind. What I have found is alot of sidestepping on actually explaining what the total cost would be to take on such a project. I tend to be a little lost not knowing ANYTHING about sharepoint. So a question for someone in the know...... Let me give you an example. Say I have an app I want to be accessible from the web. Lets say I have 10 to 15 users, not concurrent, but throughout any givin week would be using the app or apps. I have a server running 2003. What would be the cost and software requirements to make that happen?

Furthermore don't forget that you can look into getting a hosted provider rather than running your own SP server. Whether the providers will be quick to set up 2010 and provide it is another question, though.

Well, this whole web apps with MS Access is starting to look like a "NOT so bright idea" Why in the world would they spend so much effort to tie a software, Access, made for small to mid size businesses, to other software that only large organizations will use? Also considering most would change the frontend to VB.net, asp.net..PHP...whatever...when dealing with something justifying such an expense. Seems they had a start on Access webs back with DAP's.... Little more effort could have straightened that out and made loading a DB to a site very simple! I don't really undersat why they didn't do it.. I remember using MS Frontpage 2002... was very easy in a few steps to design save and upload a form that wrote to an Access backend.
Follow the money I guess......... I wasn't THAT impressed with 2007, and I don't think I'll be that impressed with 2010...
