my problem is that i want to find the average productivity, based on members of staff. however the number of staff is likely to change from month to month.
i have a table 'staff', and 'productivity' is a calculated field in a query. at the moment the chart that produces the figures that i want, displays the 'average productivity' for the 6 members of staff that i currently have (using 'avg' tool). but say in april, may and june i have 6 members of staff, and july, august and september i have only 5, will the correct values be returned, as the 'avg' function only averages the figures that are stored in the 'productivity' field. i want the monthly average to be based on productivity/number of staff, allowing for the number of staff to change.
