Hi all,

I've got a couple of Access front ends connected to SQL server - 1 of which is working fine in terms of connecting to the server, the other one which has always worked with no issues has this morning suddenly started displaying Connection failed: SQL state 'S1000' and can't generate SSPI context - I haven't made any changes to either of the front ends and both use same connection script and string so I'm stumped. Could this be just an internet/time out issue?

Any help greatly appreciated.

You are using Windows Authentication to connect to the SQL Server, correct?
Have you verified that the Users' Windows Accounts are still valid?
Have you verified that you can connect to the SQL Server instance via SSMS?

Have you verified that you can connect to the SQL Server instance via SSMS?
Also, have you verified that these users still have valid permissions on the SQL Server database?

Something is forcing it to use kerberos and I suspect there isn't a SPN (service principal name) created for the SQL server, does the sql server run on a service account or local system account?
