Can't populate data in flexgrid

I have a problem where a flexgrid isn't populating the data. However, when I put a breakpoint in the program and step through it, the flexgrid then gets populated with the correct data. I've used breakpoints in different places, and I can't seem to find any problems in the steps when running the program. Any suggestions or ideas as to why this might be happening?
