I have created an accdb file and saved as an accde file. The accde file opens with a form with command buttons. But the commands buttons do not work with the accde file (they do work with the accdb file). How do I get them working. Thanks Sandy.

what does it say when it does not work? what error do you get?

Have you enabled the db? without doing this the code won't run. You wouldn't necessarily see this prompt if the opening form is popup and/or the access window is hidden

I don't get any messages, it just does not work.
How do I enable the accde file?

I never get that message.
I went into File/Options/Trust Center/Macro Settings and set "Enable all macros". They still don't work.
I went into File/Options/Trust Center/Active X Settings and set "Enable all controls". They still don't work. I am using Access 2013.

Ah, sorry, not familiar with 2013, I guess it doesn't have the enable button since you haven't mentioned it

Thanks CJ.
Hopefully someone else can help! Probably something simple. Cheers Sandy.

I went back into the accdb form, created a new button that executed the same code, complied, saved as accde. Both the buttons works for some unknown reason...

I had the same issue. From an internet search found there is a bug where the buttons on a form loose link to their vba code. At least that is how I understood it. In any event its intermittent. Here is the way to "fix" it until it happens again the next time ...

Opened the addcb file, compiled the vba code, then recreated the addce file. It might fix it the first time or the second or ... you get the idea; test it, repeat until it resolves itself. Annoying ... but what you gonna do?

Good luck.
