Now that the election is over, a "dark fact" has emerged. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) immediately purged a bunch of employees.
In theory this stands in extreme contrast to what Democrats stand for. They claim to represent employees and to work tirelessly on their behalf, employees should be members of a union, to be paid union wages, and to receive extended unemployment benefits when employees are laid off (assuming in the case of a private company, that an employee can even be laid-off). Well, the DNC violated its own policies.
The Harris presidential campaign received over $1 Billion dollars in donations, they quickly went through that money, and ended up (approximately) $20 Million in debt. Evidently, a large percentage of that money was used to buy high-priced celebrity endorsements for Harris. One could say that this was a money laundering operation. But the critical concern is that the Democratic party failed to withhold the money necessary to pay its staff. The laid-off staff should be incensed by this travesty.

One former DNC union member, whose last day was Friday, said she was shocked. “For a lot of folks, this is life-altering,” said the laid-off employee, who spoke with Mother Jones on the condition of anonymity.
“Amongst the members that were laid off includes one deeply beloved union member who worked at the DNC for 38 years,” the staffer said. “So I push back against the claim that this is normal, because we have members who have been here for decades who are shocked and angry and trying to figure out how they’re going to survive this layoff.”
The Democrats are treating their own employees as disposable. As a matter of protest, these employees need to switch to the Republican party. When the next election cycle begins Republicans could put-out a campaign add highlighting how the DNC mistreats its own employees in violation of its own policies.“We find it very cruel that DNC management is trying to claim that layoffs are just part of the job,” a DNC union member said. “And we feel strongly that losing an election has not absolved the organization of its responsibility to treat its workers with basic dignity.”
