I created some HTML help pages for a database, created command buttons on forms with code to follow the hyperlink property. When I open Access 2003 and then open the database with shift held (design mode) and click on the command buttons, the help page open properly, but if I open the database normally, an error occurs stating that the file cannot be opened. Why?
I found the cause of the problem. The database was created in Access 2000. When I saved it as Access 2002 - 2003, the HTML help pages opened. In fact two copies opened in separate tabs. It seems that in Access 2003 if the hyperlink property is set, there is no need for event code on the click event of the button.
