Solved Excel 2007 macro not working in Excel 2024

I could be back with lots of questions having gone from Excel 2007 to Excel 2024

Excel 2007 vba code, sheet1.textbox1.value = "1:30:00"

Excel 2024 does not like .textbox1

What should it be?

For the macro to run, would I not have had to enable macro as I would do in Excel 2007?
In the code page I have a message, Compile error : method or data member not found

I just tried to record a macro to a new workbook to see if I can see the code but when I try to insert a text box, I get the error message cannot insert object.

I am new to Excel 2024 so perhaps I need to start at the beginning. Once I have opened an excel document, what do I need to do to insert a text box into an excel spread sheet? I have the developer tab visible

just noticed I have posted this in an Access group.

Also noticed i may have worded the question wrongly, the text box is an active x control

found this on the internet, i can now insert an activex control text box into a spread sheet
Enable ActiveX controls in Office 2024

1. Select File, then Options.
2. Select Trust Center, then the Trust Center Settings button.
3. Select ActiveX Settings, then make sure Prompt me before enabling all controls with minimal restrictions.
4. Select OK, then OK again to save your settings and go back to your document.
