Is there any way to export my access report to excel. How can we make the external menu be available in print review. or can we make a macro button to export the report to excel?
Thank you.

Yes, but why? Excel is a data analysis tool, a Report is for printing. Do you want to analyze the data in Excel or ultimately print it? Give us the big picture of the whole process this one step feeds into.

When I export data to Excel, I export the query NOT the report. That way the user gets only data for him to work with and he can format it to suit himself. As you have probably discovered, exporting the report produces useless outputs.

Sometimes you can solve the problem with a template. You can have a data tab and a report tab. That lets you export the data to the data tab and then Excel macros or functions take the data from the data tab and format it into the report they want.

if you have your Ribbon shown, you can do it in 2 ways.

1. in Print Preview

2. in Report View
