Good Morning Good People,

I have a simple make table query.
In that query are two currency fields.
In the field properties I have converted the field to a standard number with no decimal places.
When I run the query the table format is back to currency with decimal.

Why is my query formatting not being transferred to the table?
What have I done wrong?

while viewing the Query on Design view, click on the field on the Lower Pane that you want to format.
on it's Property->Format, choose Standard.

Nope,
Still changing back to currency in the table.
In query is it changing for display purposes only?

The field properties in the design view of a query are only for external viewing, but play no role in a table creation query and are not taken into account. Only what is actually in the SQL statement is taken into account.

You don't need formats in tables either, they only distort the actual values.
Formats as properties are used where you are actually looking at data => controls in forms and reports.

i thought your concern is about the Query?
all Format property are just for Display only.
