Hello and welcome to the forums. I visited Portland many years ago with my parents. We enjoyed the city, the scenery in general, and the rose garden in the park, the one that is partly maintained by horticultural students. They had a really stunning near-black rose that year, one that was technically a dark purple, but it was SO dark that most of it looked black. Just a few bits of purple near the base of each petal.
