Hi, I have a split MDB and put the Dbase on the server (AD). If I disable the ListFolder Permission for the dbase folder I cant open MDB apps from client PC, the error message is cant find the backend dbase file.

If I enable the listfolder permission everything is fine to open the apps from client. I am just trying to secure my BE file from user to view. Any suggestion ?

I am using windows server 2008R2 and Access 2003

Rgds,

Can't you set the hidden attribute.?

Not great I admit, but most users do not have 'Show hidden files set'?
Might even be disabled in Group policy?

I don't know if this is true n active dir.
you hide shared folder by naming the folder with $ at the end.
you need then to relink all tables of the fe.
