Hoping to use Form_AfterRender or Form_AfterFinalRender, but No Joy...

I'm not totally clear what you want to do but see if either of these links are helpful:

1. Paint Me Transparent - selectively hide controls on a continuous form using the Detail_Paint event e.g.

MainForm_v13.png

2. Hide Repeated Column Values in Continuous Forms (as in reports)
For example, repeated values in the first two columns are not displayed below:

I needed this concept last week. Not knowing about Colin's utility forced me to come up with an EXTREMLY ugly alternative. Looks like there is some re-work in my future. Story of my life...

Thanks for your feedback (and donation). I'm drinking the beer now!

I've already written a reply to your comment on the Paint Me Transparent video on YouTube

BTW - I did cover this feature as a small part of my DevCon presentation in April - perhaps you missed that item.

In an act of shameless self-promotion, here is a link to the DevCon session that was later posted on YouTube

This item is about 30 minutes in

Although I was "there", I skipped most of the 2nd day for reasons I do not recall. I figured I would just watch the video once Karl put it out - which I never did. You can buy them books, send them to school and yet they still eat crayons...

And for the record, I did not want my ugly solution - basically a textbox made to emulate a command button and using conditional formatting - but I could not find/think of a method to make this work. I even consulted ChatGPT, which gave me the wrong answer until I reminded it that with continuous forms, it only works for the 1st record. It came back with a similar solution that I had already come up with.

Moral of the story (for me anyway): stop relying on AI and use this damn forum the way it is supposed to be used!
