When I want to publish the data base to an EXE file .. I am unable to do it.
As I am using Ms-Office 2010 and it does'nt show the Make ACCDE Button/Tab. How to resolve this

Hi. I can't remember exactly, but I think maybe you'll have to repair Office or install a wizard to get that option in 2010. Let me check...

Unfortunately, this is what I see on my machine. You don't see the same thing?

The .accde is not an executable. It is still updateable unless you have locked it down. Even if you have followed all the recommendations, the .accde is still hackable.

hi sbaud2003,

in Access 2007, Make ACCDE is on the Database Tools ribbon tab -- perhaps it is in a similar place for 2010?

2010 is per post #3. If the OP cannot see that then they need to send a screenshot of what they do see

And just in building on Pat's reply, i.e. 'the accde is not an executable...' we're trying to help you find where to go to make the file an accde file...but, as Pat said, it won't be an exe file!

Exe files are basically executable on any machine...while running an accde file requires some type of MS Access on the machine...whether a full version or a Runtime version.

If the object of your question is to run your db on a machine with no form of Access on it...the answer is that you can't!
