icons/images in combo/list box

i am trying to add images to a list/combo box where i can choose from, and they can be shown in the DB, is this possible? if so can someone give me pointers.

for example i would like to have symbols for the gender instead of "Male" & "Female" and so on. thank you

You can't do it with list/combo boxes but you could make a subform work like a listbox if you care to write the code. The subform would be able to show pictures.

thanks for the information Pat, i feel MS Access is closing its doors on me

Look for a third-party control. Many that work with VB will also work with Access even if they don't specifically say they will.
