Issue sorting

Hi,
I all of a sudden seem to be having some issue with a simple sort on a table. The table has the following columns:

When I try to sort on pay_date, I'm getting this message:

I do have a principal table and the only odd thing I see is plus symbols next to ever row. When I try to expand it, I get this:

I don't even know what this is or why it all of a sudden started occurring. The only thing I've done that is new was create a report from my tblIncomingCOmmissions table

Does anyone have any insight on how I might begin to troubleshoot this and fix it?

What were you trying to enter in PrincipleID? If you went ahead and created the table level lookup anyway, this is probably causing the problem. Remove the table level lookup.
