Hi there - since this is my first post, I like to introduce myself. My name is Jim and first of all I like to thank you all! Why? let me explain - My dad owns a small business which up to last year was doing very well. So well in fact last year he hired a computer company To do a total Over haul of the company's IT equipment. This so called IT company buggered up bad, Infact it buggered up our whole server, and in turn, the company lost all its databases. And whats worse they done a runner with our money. I just finished business school and so went into business with my dad. I've got a fair bit of knowledge in IT so I got down to sorting the mess the IT company left us in - the worst thing was the company tried to install Windows Vista onto the server, but made such a c*ckup that I had to downgrade it to Windows 2000 server. I then got to work on the database and , my god - I thought that it would take me years - BUT - I found this website!
Thanks to this website at the beginning of this year the Database was up and running, and better than ever! - You may notice that this is my first post, but the reason I never posted on here is because I've never had the need to - all my questions have been answered already.
So why wait till now to Post? - Well I've just upgraded our server again, to include the new Microsoft Access 2007. And I thought I'll add some little touches I wasn't able to find last time

Thanks Again - I doubt that this business would have the database it does without this website. And expect some questions from me soon!

It's a real shame that some people in the IT world can still get away with doing something like that, it makes the rest of us look bad!

Wow! If only more people would actually use it and TRY to make it work before giving up and posting, that would make it way more efficient around here. Great job!

I don't think it would be "just around here" Bob, how about "around everywhere"??

Can't say I blame people for giving up so soon on minimal tasks though, there's too much information floating around out there.
