I noticed by chance that in this technical discussion forum there is a space for discussion on non-technical topics.
Maybe it is better to stick to programming things where you have enough studies and skills.
Even here at least do not divide us.

FYI. You can ignore threads and forums very easily and they will not show up

Though we are not quite as bad as the purely social sites, we have moments when we want to discuss other things. It makes it more of a community when we can discuss topics such as news events or a school project for our grand-daughter. Both of those things have happened here online. The non-tech topics are not such bad things as long as we remember the rule to not disrespect other members.

Given how new you are to this forum, perhaps it would be best to not start out by being critical of members with whom you disagree. If you are too delicate to read political discussions, just hide the subforums from yourself as MajP suggested;) Censor yourself, not others or if you like being censored, ask your Access questions on FB.

Pat reminds me of an old analogy that expresses pretty well this particular situation.

It's about the dinner guest who arrives at the host's home and begins the evening by telling the host that his choice of dinner entrees is not very good and suggesting the host quickly cook up the guest's favorite dish instead.

Out of politeness, some hosts might consider accommodating such a request. But future dinner invitations are likely to be few and far between.
