(Using Access 2000)
I have two tables, table 1 lists bid details, and table 2 lists project details (if the bid is turned into a project). They are linked via the project number.
If I use the wizard to create a form, where it creates a bid details form and then a box which pops open the project details form then it will not automatically populate the project number from the bid details form for the new project details record. It gives a drop down box where people have to choose, which is open to user error.
However if I use the wizard to create the form, but choose the subform option where it creates a datasheet instead for the project details. Then it automatically populates the project number field.
I would like to have the pop out table, as it is cleaner if the bid does not turn into a project. Plus there are lots of fields to populate so datasheet view requires lots of scrolling.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?
