The situation puts a renewed spotlight on the Biden administration's behemoth climate programs, raising questions about whether the recipients of billions of dollars in green spending were properly vetted—or whether federal officials looked the other way when doling out funds to Lion, which had financially struggled for years.

A Wikipedia summary of the Solyndra scandal.

The USAID scandal has also raised the question of grants actually being a money laundering scam rather than actually resulting in a real product.
See the DOGE thread.

Below is another program that has the look and feel of a money laundering scam.
Transportation Department suspends $5 billion EV charger program
Seems that the article above left out the fact that only 8 EV charging stations actually built. I wonder how much of that money will be clawed back by the Trump administration?

It doesn't seem that Illinois will ever outlive its reputation of being truly and deeply corrupt - a bit like Philly.
My parents always said the IL gov was outstandingly corrupt and they apparently continue personifying it

Four governors that went to prison. Plus Michael Madigan, long, long time Speaker of the House, just convicted of numerous charges. Of course when his daughter was AG, nothing happened.

I guess that this is what they meant when they were laughing about throwing gold bars off of the Titantic:poop::poop::poop::poop: It was all your money folks. It is never "government money". And they did it to f*** you for voting for Trump. The actual evil deep down in the Democrats has risen to the top.

It's hysterical listening to the Dems beating their breasts and shouting about how evil Musk is for finding waste in government spending and that he must be stopped at all costs:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Duh!!!!!!!!!!! How stupid can theses people be? How stupid do they think the public is? How stupid are government employees at the SSA? Even with millions to spend and multiple tries, they couldn't find a better system to retire people than to hand walk the paper down a rickety elevator into a mine and process it there?? Any one of the experts here could have built a better system using Access for < $50,000 and it could easily process more than 10,000 retirees per year:(
