Hi
I'm not really sure which section this fits into, so i am going to post it here.

I am currently doing a school project, which requires me to design a Excel style spreadsheet, to calculate the costing of a complete pond kit, to the dimensions the customer specifies, then produce an invoice containing a detailed breakdown of the kit.

At the moment, i have the project designed in MS Excel, but i want to try and convert that into the Access database that i have designed for another problem the Garden Centre has, involving stocklists. I want to be able to use Access, so that the user can use a form to enter the dimensions, and then produce a invoice containing all the details. I haven't got a clue how to do this - Macro's, VBA, queries , as it involves doing a few similtanious calcultions on the data. I have attached the Excel file that i designed, from which you can see what it involves.

Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Thanks

Thanks

Thanks to Scott for a very fast reply, with a great example database, which was very useful.
I have attached the database so that if anyone else has the same prob, they can have a look aswell.

There is a few little niggles i need to sort out with Scoot, but i have emailed him about them, and will post the solutions when i get them.

The next step for me now is to add an invoice report to the database so that the garden centre can print out an invoice for every order.
I'm not really sure how to do this, because everything is worked out in the form, so i am not sure how to produce the reports. Any help would be appreicated.

Thanks Again to Scott for a great reply.
