Page headers in subreport

I have a subreport in my report footer and I am trying to get the subreport to have page headers on every page except for the first page. The page headers do not appear at all on the subreport. When I run the report alone, the header shows up, but not when it is a subreport. How do I fix this, assuming it can be done.
