I have a report that I need to print in booklet form. If I run it to Word it loses a lot of formatting. If I run it to pdf it shrinks the pages. Is there something I'm missing?

Sounds like an issue with margins. Are you suggesting there is a significant difference between the print preview and the pdf? Can you explain “shrinks the pages”?

PDF definitely reduces the report when importing

You now mention “importing”. What do you mean by this?

exporting my Access report to pdf shrinks the report a lot when the pdf is opened. I'm talking about importing when pdf is opened. Sorry.

Are you "PRINTING" your report to PDF or doing something different?
And by shrinking, what is the margin when printed VS what is the margin in PDF?

When I print a PDF, I have two options. My browser reads .PDF files and I also have a copy of the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe, which of course also reads .PDF files. The last time I tried to print something from a .PDF via Acrobat Reader, I recall that I had a scaling option including "scale to fit page" for oversized pages. Check the dialog your print option gives you.

Yes, I am PRINTING my report to Adobe pdf. No one else has seen this problem? It's on Google and there doesn't seem to be a fix. Thought someone here might have an answer.

To be honest, I have not noticed it even though I am dealing with some PDF files for my current kerfuffle with the local government over a zoning issue. They send PDF all the time.

I apologize! Turns out it depends on what you use for a PDF reader. Adobe does fine. Some others do not. Thanks for your feed back.

Some scanners reduce a page size by a quite a few percent.
So not always a good idea to scan scale drawings when it can be a real issue.
