Hi All,

I need a little help with my pivotcharts. In my query I have a couple of calculations that works out the percentage capacity used and the percentage capacity left for 2 different things, ordered by week number. In my pivotchart, I wanted a stacked column to show how much percentage capacity is left by each week, however I can only do it for one of the things.

I have % capacity for Packs and Images, and I want to show side by side the stacked column for Packs and the stacked column for Images, is there any way you can do that in access?

Thanks

Could you show some sample data, (Excel or database), + a picture of how you want the graph.

this is what the graph currently looks like;

and this is what happens when I add in the 2 other fields that I want;

I would ideally like 2 seperate columns, one with the Red and Blue fields and one with the Green and Purple fields. I've tried looking at the multiple chart options but that just confuses me so much and doesn't seem to do all that much.

Only a question. Can you use the below, (I know it is not exactly beside each other)?

Yeah that'll definitely do, how can I get it to look like that in access?

Set "ImagePack..." to be showed on the secondary axis.
And set the "Gap Width" to 500, and for the other 2 to 150, see below picture.

I can't see where to get to this, I can't find it in the query pivot chart or when I create the chart in Report Design.

You need to be in design view, then double click on the graph object.
When it open, mark on one of the bars then right click, choose "Format Data Series"

Did you get it to work?

Sorry, I didn't get a chance to carry on with it yesterday. I've nearly got it, the sample data it shows you in the design view confused me at first.

I still have one problem, I've changed it to a 100% Stacked Chart and for some reason it seems to be missing off one of my data series?

Open the query for the graph to see if the 4 bars data is returned.
It is difficult to see from here, could it be hidden behind one of the other bars?
Have you chosen stacked bars for the secondary axis?
Else try to post a COPY your database with only the form/report where the chart is in + a small amount of sample data.

All the data is definitely there. I double checked that the chart was set as stacked for the secondary axis and that partly helped but for some reason it's still not quite what I'm expecting.

The chart is in rptCapChart, and it's based on qryCapacity.

The picture shows what I get when I open your report, all bars shows correct, but the one for week 14 ...ImageCapUsed is so small you can't see it, about 0,25.

Well the other problem is that ImageCapLeft should add up to 100 and it's not which I don't understand either.

EDIT; never mind, I figured it out. I didn't see the second axis on the right next to the legend (derp), so I changed that and now it's coming out like I expected.

Exactly - good you got it.
