The "Magic Roundabout," located in Swindon—approximately 30 miles from my location—is a highly complex road junction.

I estimate I have navigated this junction only five to ten times, finding the experience genuinely nerve-racking on every occasion.

The roundabout takes its name from The Magic Roundabout, a short, beloved children's comedy strip that historically aired for about five minutes just before the main BBC1 6 O'Clock News broadcast.

The television series The Magic Roundabout, though ostensibly a children's program, garnered a significant and devoted adult following due to its underlying wit and humor.

The series originated in France with French-speaking characters. Crucially, the version broadcast on UK television was not a direct translation but featured an adapted UK narrative that deviated significantly from the French original.

We have a roundabout in Colchester where cars and lorries can go round both the right way and the wrong way.

Can you identify it's location? If I can find it on Google maps I can place a picture of it here!

It's called the Greenstead Roundabout at the eastern end of St Andrews Ave leading to Clacton.

Having driven round the Magic Roundabout many times I have to say it very easy to use.

Looks like Swindon's got a bit of competition!

I'm waiting for the "Texan" to chip in and wind Colin up!

Roundabouts are slowly catching on here in Virginia. When they first get put it, the locals cry foul, but after they get used to them, they love them.

That monstrosity you posted scares the :poop: out of me, and Im damn near fearless...

We have city streets in New Orleans where vehicles can go the right way and the wrong way. And yet people wonder why collision-specialist lawyers have either branch offices or big billboards near these streets.

To be honest, though, we DO have one single-circle roundabout in the central business district. It is called Harmony Circle and the street car (electric trolley) goes through there.

Hemel Hempstead also has a great example, 7 roundabouts in 1.

Works fabulously after you've got used to it!

Wisconsin has fell in love with roundabouts.

Uncle, now share that to explain "This is why we have no problem with contrarotating propellers".

“Contra-rotating props? That’s nothing — you should see Colin on the dancefloor.”
