Steve Hilton of the Fox program "The Next Revolution", has an excellent introduction to the birth of what has now evolved into "Wokism" that begins around the two (2) minute mark of the video. Basically, "Wokism" is a "work in progress" that began around 100 years ago in Europe and metastasized into the US in the 1960s.
One of my takes on the cancerous growth of "Wokism" is that Obama, through his deceitful narrative of "transforming" the US was the "Manchurian Candidate". To borrow from Issac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy, Trump was "The Mule", the unknown outsider who disrupted Seldon's psychohistory (the planned progression of "Wokism" from Obama to H. Clinton). Consequently, the"Wokists" put into place by Obama had a severe allergic reaction to Trump's election and created a "resistance" movement. Following the unexpected Trump disruption, the supposed "win" by Biden has itself resulted a severe reaction to get "Wokism" back on tract through a variety of repressive measures.
