Update query

Hello,

Can anyone help me with updating a query to another table? I'm using OBDC tables to update a table..anyone knows what I mean? the problem is I have linked the two table to see if the numbers matched our system(which works with the select query) but I want to update that information along with Yes/No check boxes to the table...I keep getting the error, " this must be an updatable query"...

Are you linked to SQL Server? If so, which version. If not, what are you linked to (ODBC would be for linking to something outside of Access)? Are you working with a linked table and a local table?

I'm linked to our network server and imported the tables into Access....so, yes I'm working with a linked and local table.

I've a similar problem in that I can't get an updateable query if I am linked to an external SQL Table and a local table. Not sure what you can do for a workaround.
