what is wrong with my formula in query?

I used the below formula for a new column,

AMOUNT: IIf(NZ([jd_cc_debit])<=0,-[jd_cc_credit],[jd_cc_debit])

and some of the amount in jd_cc_debit are not captured and show as $0 in the column. Do you know why?

AMOUNT: IIf(NZ([jd_cc_debit],0)<0,[jd_cc_credit] *(-1),[jd_cc_debit])
